Abstract

A high selectivity balanced filter with multiple transmission zeros using ring resonators is proposed in this paper. Six transmission zeros are easily realized to improve the differential mode passband selectivity and common mode suppression. Over 5f 0 (f 0 is the center frequency of the passband) common mode suppression can be realized by the bandstop performance of the coupled lines and stubs. A balanced filter with 3-dB bandwidth of 23.8% is designed and measured. Good agreement can be found between the theoretical and measured results.
