Abstract

The spectrum of isotopically substituted carbon disulfide has been studied in the region near the ν2vibration (400 cm−1). The fundamental and six hot bands of12C34S2were recorded at a resolution of 0.01 cm−1, as were four bands of12C32S34S and two bands of13C34S2. The observed line positions were reproduced by the effective Hamiltonian with a RMS error of 0.001 to 0.005 cm−1. Normal and internal coordinate anharmonic force constants for CS2are reported.
