Abstract
AbstractA new high‐performance multivariable time delay compensator is presented that contains the Ogunnaike‐Ray compensator as a special case, reduces to the Smith predictor for a single delay, and approaches the realizable part of the process inverse as a limit. The straightforward design procedure is illustrated with several distillation control examples.
