Abstract

A transmissive metal unit working in the range of 18 GHz-29 GHz is designed in this paper. This is a three-layer metal circular slit unit with promising cross-polarization isolation properties. A planar lens antenna with a center operating frequency of 28 GHz is designed based on the unit utilizing a phase compensation algorithm. The numerical simulation results show that the antenna can improve the gain of the horn antenna from 22.9 dB to 25.6 dB, which can effectively advance the development of 5G communication technology.
