Abstract
Using new measurement techniques, a high frequency iron loss measuring system covering up to 10 MHz has been developed. One of the new techniques is a vector spectrum. This method measures the vector spectra depending on magnetic flux density and magnetic field waveforms while keeping the phase data in the frequency domain. The other techniques, which are needed to perform an accurate iron loss measurement especially at high frequencies, are the method improving the frequency characteristics of a current detector and building an effective calibration method for the system. These techniques enable the system to measure iron losses within measurement errors of 5 to 10%. >
