Abstract

The magnetoresistance of the Bechgaard salt (TMTSF) 2SbF 6 has been investigated in pulsed magnetic field up to 36 T and for temperature down to 1.8 K. A series of fast oscillations has been observed with a fundamental frequency of 165 T. To date, this frequency is the lowest ever found in the Bechgaard salt family. Commonly observed in these salts, the oscillation amplitude exhibits a maximum at low temperature. We have also studied the influence of the magnetic field on the spin density wave transition temperature. In addition, a large negative magnetoresistance has been evidenced for a particular field orientation.
