Abstract

The high-field magnetoconductivity of double-quantum-well structures is treated on the basis of a microscopic one-particle model which includes broadening effects due to disorder, finite temperatures, and a phenomenological inclusion of inelastic scattering processes. The theoretical results are consistent with the experimentally observed suppression of quantum Hall states at odd integer filling factors.
