Abstract

Compact high-energy mode-locked fiber lasers with fiber facet output based on a large-mode-area photonic crystal fiber are reported. Ultrashort pulses with 46-nJ pulse energy and 1.9-ps time duration are obtained in all-normal-dispersion regime. Inserting a spectral filter, the laser system generates 828-fs pulses, with 30-nJ pulse energy, and 36.3-kW peak power directly.
