Abstract
The generation of KrF excimer molecules in a capillary discharge was investigated. Densities of excited KrF in the order of 10 15 cm -3 were measured. The emitted light arises to about 80% from the B-X band transition at 248 nm with an intrinsic efficiency up to 28%.
