Abstract

The Split-Source Inverter (SSI) is presented to be a good alternative for all the impedance Z-Source Inverter (ZSI). In this paper, the performance of (SSI) based on Finite Set Model Predictive Control (FSC-MPC) is proposed. With the proposed FS-MPC algorithm a good dynamic behavior with a fast transient response without needing for tuning control loop is achieved, in addition, many variables can be controlled in one cost function. The input inductor current, DC-link capacitor voltage, and three-phase load currents are adjustable to their reference values. The proposed algorithm is validated based on MATLAB SIMULINK software.
