Abstract

Polymer electrolyte based on polymer poly ethylene oxide (PEO) doped with phosphotungstic acid (PTA) salt was synthesized by solution cast method. Several experimental techniques were demonstrated such as Fourier Transformation Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Polarized Optical Microscopy (POM), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) was carried out in detail. It was found that the conductivity of PEO + PTA is three times larger than that of pure poly ethylene oxide at room temperature, which may be suited this electrolyte for further application in electrochemical devices.
