Abstract

Forced two-dimensional homogeneous isotropic turbulence is simulated using lattice BGK model on parallel PC cluster with high resolution of 1024 2. Statistically stationary database over one turnover time is available to do statistic analysis. Based on the database hierarchical structure analysis of vorticity field is done according to She-Leveque (S-L) model. It is found that intermittency exists in this case and the S-L model can depict very well the anomalous scaling law.
