Abstract

In this paper the program system BAM P 11 is described. It was developed for the treatment of a rather general class of allocation problems covering applications such as optimal room allocation in buildings or macro position planning of an industrial area. The possibilities of describing an allocation problem and the corresponding articulation in the input language are given in some detail. The optimization algorithm of the program is based on partial enumerations of heuristically selected subsystems of the acceptors and functional elements involved. Finally an example is provided.
