Abstract

This paper analyses the Hermeneutic of the Reception through the work of Jorge Luis Borges, Mikhail Bakhtin and Iuri Lotman. Biblical texts, like those of other religions, are endowed with poetic structural density and form text networks with the potential for being appropriated and recreated in history and in different cultures. These texts become texts of culture due to their structural complexity, making them more capable of recreating the processes of meaning in the most distant temporalities and in the most different cultural contexts. This proposal is examined in the interpretation of a narrative by Julio Cortazar ( El Apocalipsis de Solentiname ). Finally, we offer suggestions for the hermeneutics of reception's greater articulation in academic biblical studies.
