Abstract
The manifold forms of Christ's power must be distinguished inasmuch as Christ is both Son of God and Son of Man: one person in two natures, true God and true man. One must consider that God is called the king and ruler and Lord of all according to both His creative power and His governing power; The soul of Christ can be considered in three ways: in one way, according to its own nature and natural capacity, in another way, the soul of Christ, and third way, it can be considered insofar as it is an instrument united with the Word [of God]. Governing power is indeed communicated by God to creatures, for He governs and rules some created things through the mediation of others. The holders of priestly and royal power alike are called vicars of Christ and ministers of Christ and co-workers with Christ. Keywords: Christ; King; vicar
