AbstractOil and Gas (MIC: 14.2 SIC: 1381 NAIC:213111)Helmerich & Payne is a holding company. Co. is engaged in contract drilling of oil and gas wells for others. Co.'s contract drilling business is composed of three segments: U.S. land drilling conducted in Oklahoma, Texas, Wyoming, Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi and New Mexico; U.S. offshore platform drilling in the Gulf of Mexico and California; and international drilling in which Co. operates in eight international locations such as Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina, Bolivia, Equatorial Guinea, Tunisia and Chile. Co. is also engaged in the ownership, development, and operation of commercial real estate, and these operations are conducted within the metropolitan area of Tulsa, OK.
