AbstractOil and Gas (MIC: SIC: 1381 NAIC: 213111)Helmerich & Payne is a holding company. Co. is engaged in contract drilling of oil and gas wells for others. Co.'s contract drilling business is composed of three segments: U.S. land drilling conducted primarily in Oklahoma, California, Texas, Wyoming, Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, New Mexico, and North Dakota; U.S. offshore platform drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, California, Trinidad and Equatorial Guinea; and international drilling in which Co. operates in Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina, Bolivia, Tunisia, and Chile. Co. is also engaged in the ownership, development, and operation of commercial real estate, and these operations are conducted in Tulsa, OK.
