Abstract

Heavy-duty vehicles are of high mass, high center of gravity and difficult to operate, and rollover accidents are prone to occur. In order to provide accurate rollover warning for heavy vehicles, a heavy-duty vehicle dynamics modeling and rollover warning method under complex working conditions is proposed. First, a 22-degree-of-freedom dynamic model that satisfies the nonlinear tire model was constructed, and then the differential equations of tire motion and body motion were derived. Finally, the heavy-duty vehicle rollover warning algorithm based on the driving state equation was completed and tested. Simulation comparison experiments showed that this method can effectively carry out rollover warning, reduced the occurrence of accidents, and its real-time performance and accuracy have been greatly improved.
