Abstract
The 26Mg( 16O, 15N) 27Al and 26Mg( 16O, 14C) 28Si reactions have been studied at 128 MeV incident energy. In contrast with studies at lower energy, (where strong two-proton transfers were observed) at this energy the agreement between the measured cross sections and DWBA predictions is as good as is found with light-ion reactions. Both reactions exhibit the selectivity expected for direct transfer processes.
