Abstract
We present measurements of heavy-flavour production in Pb–Pb collisions at s NN = 2.76 TeV and in p–Pb collisions at 5.02 TeV by the ALICE Collaboration. A strong suppression of heavy-flavour production at high p T is observed in central Pb–Pb collisions, while non-zero elliptic flow is seen at low p T in semi-central collisions. The cold nuclear matter effects on the measurements in Pb–Pb collisions have been investigated in p–Pb collisions, and no large effects have been observed.
