Abstract

This chapter discuss the Heath Malmstadt-Enke instrumentation laboratory EU-IPO A. The entire EU-100A system is designed to teach electronics with emphasis on the principles, design, and use of instruments in scientific applications. The stations are rapidly being introduced into colleges, universities, and industries for use in formal courses at all levels, self-instruction, and research applications. Experimentation with basic vacuum tube and transistor circuits is greatly facilitated by special experimental chassis and parts, which feature reliable solderless spring clip connectors and conventional component layout. The great variety of parts supplied with each station make it possible to wire all the circuits described in the textbook experiments and hundreds of others to suit individual needs. Circuit construction with this technique is many times faster than with conventional breadboards or chassis.
