Abstract
Abstract A study was made of the behaviour of polyarylates of different chemical structure under conditions of high-temperature breakdown in inert atmosphere and in steam. The difference in the heat stability of cardic polyesters, due to the mutual effect of the lactone ring and ester group in the polymer chain, was shown.
