Abstract

The dependence of the heat resistance of tool materials on the melting temperatures or phase transformations in the solid state is shown. The maximum permissible heating temperatures for these materials are fundamentally substantiated; the influence of the metal and ceramic phases on these temperatures. Promising compositions of metal phases of cermets are shown.
