Abstract

THE health of students, faculty and staff of colleges and universities is gradually becoming a source of official concern to the governing authorities of institutions for higher education. The concept is slowly gaining acceptance that some provision should be made by the college or university for the promotion and maintenance of health and for the treatment of illness or injury whenever they occur. Community resources, however excellent they may be, do not meet the needs of college personnel without a local organization or service designed to bring the student or staff member and the physician and his professional resources together . . .
