Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the perceptions of the administrators of lifelong learning institution on lifelong learning based on some variables. The study group was composed all of 432 lifelong learning institution administrators participated in the Workshop on Basic Principles of Adult Education. The data obtained were collected through Lifelong Learning Scale (LLLS) developed by the researchers, in April and May of 2014. Since the distribution was not normal, Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney U tests were used in the analysis of data. According to research results, the lifelong learning institution administrators’ perceptions on lifelong learning were found to be highly positive. The perceptions of lifelong learning institution administrators about lifelong learning showed significant differences according to the variables such as age, their region of work and the institution where they work, whereas no significant differences were found according to the gender variable. Consequently, it can be expressed that the lifelong learning institution administrators’ perceptions to be highly positive on lifelong learning will contribute to the development of lifelong learning
