Abstract

PM motor drives are widely used for high performance servo applications. However, SPM motor has imperfect sinusoidal flux distribution which causes harmonic current. Dead time of the inverter and current measurement error lead to harmonic current, too. In this paper, the authors propose harmonic current suppression control of PM motor by using repetitive perfect tracking control with PWM-hold model. In addition, to suppress the harmonic current at the speed variation, we propose a method to generate the compensation signal which is corresponded to the speed variation from existing compensation signal. Finally, we show the advantages of the proposed method by experimental results.
