Abstract

The study examines the educational situation in Harghita County for the period 2000-2020, focusing on the following topics: infrastructure, changes in the number of educational institutions, the proportion of rural and urban schools, changes in the number of classrooms, changes in the number of students, the distribution of students by language of learning, changes in the number of computers and IT equipment, changes in the number of teaching staff, and the proportion of teachers in urban and rural areas. The starting point for this study is that the socio- institutional conditions of a county or region are crucial to the study of its educational situation.
