Abstract
A special purpose hardware processor has been built for data reduction in real time with a mechanical flying spot scanner in the analysis of bubble and spark chamber films. The processor implements in about 4 s an algorithm whose simulation in Fortran on an IBM 360 44 computer takes about 5 min. High speed of operation is obtained with a Random Logic TTL Design.
