Abstract
Recent results on the combination of open charm and beauty production data in deep-inelastic scattering and their mparison to perturbative QCD calculations at next-to-leading order and approximate next-to-next-to-leading order are presented. The combined data are used to extract the masses of the charm and beauty quarks at next-to-leading order. Inclusive jet and dijet cross sections in deep-inelastic scattering are used to extract the strong coupling αs(mZ) at next-to-next-to-leading order for the first time. Finally, further new observables measured for the description of prompt photons plus jet production in deep-inelastic scattering and their comparison to perturbative QCD calculations are shown.
