Schack donated his rich Hieracium collection to the Botanical Museum Berlin-Dahlem (B) and the Bavarian Botanical Society in Munich [now incorporated in the Botanische Staatssammlung München (M)]. The Berlin part, which comprises c. 6000 specimens including many types as well as material from other collectors, was acquired in 1934 and is now being incorporated in the general herbarium.
