Abstract

Brief experiments with 12 and 9 in dia auger conveyors at angles of elevation of 50 and 62° have shown that unshelled groundnuts can be conveyed satisfactorily with little damage to the nuts, if there is an adequate clearance between the auger screw and tube. Acceptable rates of throughput and volumetric efficiency were obtained.
