Abstract

A problem of electromagnetic interaction of two charged relativistic particles is considered in the Wheeler and Feynman approach to classical electrodynamics. We formulate this theory in such a way that its Hamiltonian description becomes available. This description is a kind of constrained Hamiltonian mechanics. The obtained Hamiltonian equations have more simple form than the Lagrangian ones. A canonical quantization of this problem can also be developed.
