Abstract

The recent results on hadron production from the NA49 experiment are rewied, focusing on strangeness ( K + ), proton ( p) and deuteron ( d) production for central Pb + Pb collisions. The first preliminary results on K + at beam energy 30 AGeV are reported. The slope parameter T and K +/π + ratio are shown and compared to those at other energies. Midrapidity transverse mass distributions of p amd d are measured in central Pb + Pb collisions at 40, 80 and 158 AGeV. The final results on p and d production for centrality selected Pb + Pb collisions at 158 AGeV are also presented.
