Abstract
Abstract GUTERL S-1 is a chromium-tungsten steel for general use for chisels and other cold-battering tools. It also is used for numerous other cold and hot-work applications because of its excellent toughness, high hardness and strength, and resistance to fatigue. Its many applications include boilermaker's tools, cold-battering hand and pneumatic tools, punches, shear blades and concrete drills and breakers. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and elasticity. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, machining, and surface treatment.
