Abstract

ABSTRACTEndorsed by representatives of Australia’s marine and coastal community at Australia’s biennial national coastal conference Coast to Coast in Hobart 2018 Guiding Principles for Marine and Coastal Management in Australia were developed and refined by conference delegates to assist in the development of comprehensive, inclusive, and sustainable responses to the challenges of managing Australia’s coasts and seas, and valuable points of reflection in the review of policies, plans and programs. These 10 principles provide a set of values for our community of marine and coastal practitioners in protecting and enhancing Australia’s marine and coastal values and sustaining them now and into the future.
