Abstract
Strong primitive reflexes in infants suggest proper development of the central nervous system. However, if not naturally integrated in the first year of life, these persistent primitive reflexes may interfere with further motor and cognitive development as well as emotional regulation. When nurse practitioners diagnose persistent primitive reflexes, parents are often eager to know what can be done at home. Described here is a program evaluation completed on a series of movement-to-music videos called Rockin’ Reflex that provide parents with inexpensive, easy-to-follow videos that they can do at home to help their children integrate these reflexes.
