Abstract
This study is an attempt to investigate whether guidance needs to adolescents studying in the schools. For this purpose, sample of one hundred and seventy- nine students of the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya were taken through simple random sampling technique. To collect the data, guidance need inventory developed by Dr. J.S. Grewal was used. t- test was applied to find the significance of difference among the various groups. Results indicated that male and female adolescents do not differ significantly in their guidance needs with respect to physical area, social area, psychological area, educational area, vocational area and total area. Arts and science stream adolescents do not differ significantly in their guidance needs.
