Abstract

Due to the rampant Covid-19 virus, education is also getting its impact. Teaching and learning activities that are usually carried out in schools have turned into learning from home (BDR) programs. There are new problems faced by students when faced with the BDR program. Guidance and counseling services are assistance programs aimed at students or individuals so that they can overcome the problems they face. Based on research conducted on 6th grade teachers and students, 5th grade teachers and students, 3rd grade teachers and students at SDN 1 Sumurbandung, it was shown that obstacles were found while the teacher provided guidance and counseling services during the BDR program. The research conducted is a qualitative research with a case study method (case study). Data collection techniques used are interviews and documentation studies. Interviews were conducted online using Google Meet or Zoom Meeting media. Based on the data obtained, the teacher provides guidance and counseling services virtually (online) and in person (visiting students' homes). Some of the obstacles faced by teachers were signal problems, many children were found who did not have gadgets, did not have quotas, and excessive parental assistance. Ways that teachers do to overcome these obstacles include providing motivation, communicating with students' parents, doing remedial actions, providing relief from task collection time and providing policies for students who do not have online learning facilities.
