He joined the Department of Biomedical engineering, All India Institute of Medical Sciences in 1973, Dr Behari is currently Professor in the School of Environmental Sciences of Jawaharlal Nehru University.Earlier Dr Behari, has been a Fulbright Fellow and Adjunct Faculty at Michigan State University and has been a career awardee (University Grants Commission). He is a fellow of Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, Ultrasonic Society of India, and is a senior member of IEEE. His name figures in the international directory of distinguished leadership, Reference Asia: Asia's who's who of Men and women of Achievement, Learned Asia, who's who in Electromagnetics and who's who is Physiological Fluid Dynamics. He has been a member of Electromagnetic Academy (USA). Indian Science Congress Association, and on Executive bodies of Biomedical Engineering Society of India. IEEE, ED. MTT Chapter and Indian Society of Biomechanics. Dr Behari has been a past Chairman of IEEE ED MTT Chapter and Member Executive of Indian Physics Association and Indian Vacuum Society.His main research interests are in the area of Bioelectromagnetics, with emphasis on applications of microwaves and solid state Physics Techniques in Environmental Sciences. He has about Ninety six research publications. four patents and has developed several instruments.G P SrivastavaGanesh Prasad Srivastava was born in 1933. He obtained doctoral degree in microwave pressure broadening studies in 1957 from University of Allahabad. He pursued further research with Nobel Leureate Prof G Herzberg in National Research Counci I, Ottawa, Canada during 1960 to 1962 where he made significant contribution to the field of microwave spectroscopy He was the first to observe rotational transition in hydrogen bounded molecules. He also worked at the University of Sheffield (UK), University of Queensland (Australia). and Universite Piere-et-Marie Curie (France). In India he worked at different Universities and in 1974 he became Professor of Physics and in 1980, the Head of the department and the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Delhi University.In his research careers he has to his credit over 180 research publications in International journals spanning the fields of spectroscopy, semiconductor physics, magnetism. quantum electronics and microwave superconductivity. He has contributed to many international conferences. An an academician, he played a key role in introducting electronics courses into regular science academic programmes all over the country. He was the first Head of the department of Electronics Science and the first Dean of the Faculty of Interdisciplinary and Applied Sciences in University of Delhi South Campus. The microwave community has been benefited by him both as an active researcher and as an educator.He has organised many national as well as international conferences. He is one of the persons who is instrumental in establishing the Asia Pacific Microwave Conferences. At present he is actively leading a group working in the fields of high temperature superconducting microwave electronics in Delhi University.
