Abstract

The paper focuses on the calibration problem for the accelerometer unit at a high precision test bench. Besides instrument errors of the accelerometer unit itself, possible errors of the test bench are also considered. One of the main problems is to choose the optimal design of the angular positions for the unit. The guaranteed approach is applied to determine this optimal design. A minimal total number of the required positions is established. A procedure is discussed which accounts for the errors due to inaccuracies in the realization of the required angular positions.
