Abstract

The lack of unified criteria in the practice of nursing care can lead to errors during procedures. For this reason, this nursing care procedures guide (NCPG) aims to establish and unify action criteria to control seizure activity and prevent the appearance of secondary injuries in children during hospital care. Descriptive study of narrative literature review. The information collection process was carried out through an exhaustive search in high-impact journals and other reliable media such as Scopus, ProQuest, EBSCO, Scielo, repositories and Google Scholar. This review addresses indications, contraindications, necessary materials and equipment, stages of care procedures, complications and recommendations. It is concluded that this NCPG makes it possible to minimize errors and normalize nursing care in children's seizures in hospital care; generating impact on the health of the population. Finally, it is emphasized to continue developing NCPG to generate expectations in nursing care and the health of the country.
