Abstract

The present work is about growth of well-defined Potassium Sodium Tartrate (also known as Rochelle salt) single crystal doped with crystal violet (CV) dye in the growth sectors using slow evaporation technique. The dye doped material with dopant of 0.05% was grown and the compositional studies were analyzed using Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy, and the vibration modes were identified. The optical properties of the crystal have been analyzed by UV–Vis NIR Measurements. The emission spectrum of the crystal was observed from fluorescence study. The dielectric properties of the grown crystal were studied in the frequency range 20 Hz-200 kHz at various temperatures. The magnetic susceptibility of the crystal was found using Gouy balance method. The antimicrobial activities of the grown crystal were studied using disc diffusion method.
