Abstract

In recent years, the fish species in danger of extinction for the configuration of the natural stocks produced in controlled conditions is important. Also beluga is one of the fish in danger of extinction. In this study, juvenile beluga captured Turkish Black Sea coastal water to create broadstock adapted to tank environment. The growth, feed conversion and survival rates were investigated in juvenile beluga with tagged with T-tag Individually and fed by whiting. Weights ranging between 0.5-2.2 kg of Juvenile beluga’s Specific Growth Rate (SGR), Daily Weight Gain (DWG) and Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) were determined as the 0.36±0.09, 4.7±1.25 g/day and 5.07 in farm conditions. As a result, whiting can be used routinely nutrition and adaptation to cultural conditions of juvenile beluga captured from the natural environment such as configure natural stocks and maintain various purposes with live.
