Abstract

Injectable local anesthetics are ubiquitous in dermatologic surgery. Challenging injections, large-volume use, and repetitive sessions may lead to injector finger irritation, hand pain, and muscle fatigue during dermatologic procedures. This can result in hand tremors during surgery and chronic pain. Medical providers who use syringes frequently may be at increased risk for musculoskeletal disorders, and syringe adapters have been developed to reduce muscular strain and fatigue.1,2
