Abstract
In interconnected power system because of non-linearity of the governor, the contract violation and uncontracted load the frequency becomes unstable. In this paper, the frequency instability issue is presented by assuming two area restructured power system operating in bilateral market model. Moreover, a comparative study of Proportional Integral (PI) controller and the fuzzy logic tuned PI controller has been shown for generators running under the Automatic Generation Control (AGC) control loop.
