Abstract
Grias angustipetala and G. ecuadorica, two new species from the wet forests of western Ecuador are described. Grias angustipetala occurs in the Awa Indigenous Territory and Reserva Ecologica Cotacachi-Cayapas in the Esmeraldas and adjacent Carchi Provinces between 50–1800 m elevation. Grias ecuadorica is found in the Los Rios and Bolivar Provinces between 70–600 m elevation. The new species are illustrated and their relationships with related species are discussed.
