Abstract

Paper demonstrates a series of novel electroluminescent devices (OLEDs) with poly (N-vinylcarbazole) active emitting layer doped by the azafluoranthene dyes. Measured steady state electroluminescence spectra, luminance-voltage and luminance-current characteristics provide basic characterization of the designed OLEDs. All the devices exhibit sharp green electroluminescence with the emission maximum being rather weakly dependent on the type of the fluorescent dopant. The obtained results show that a series of recently synthesized azafluoranthene dyes may be considered as efficient green fluorescent emitters for electroluminescent applications.
