Abstract

Introduction: Acetabular hip dysplasia is associated with pain, impaired physical function and low quality of life (QOL). It is not known if this association exists in football players with acetabular hip dysplasia and hip/groin pain. If associations between impaired hip muscle strength and low QOL can be shown in symptomatic football players with acetabular hip dysplasia, QOL may be improved by targeting the modifiable muscle strength impairments. The aim of this cross-sectional study was to investigate the relationship between hip muscle strength and QOL in symptomatic football players with acetabular hip dysplasia.
