Click to increase image sizeClick to decrease image size Additional informationNotes on contributorsCliff LongCliff Long is Professor of Mathematics and Statistics at Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio, where he has taught since receiving his Ph.D. at the University of Illinois in 1960 under Pierce W. Ketchum. He participated in an NSF Institute, Computer Graphics for Learning Mathematics, at Carleton College during the summers of 1972–74, and continues this interest. Other interests include computer-aided geometric design, computer graphics, woodworking, and squash. He is currently the MAA Governor from the Ohio Section.Thomas HernThomas Hern received his Ph.D. in mathematics from Ohio State University in 1969. He has been at Bowling Green State University since that time, and he had a visiting position in computer science at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, in 1982–84. He has been an active member of the Ohio Section, and was a member of the MAA delegation to the People's Republic of China in 1983. His current interests are in the mathematics of computer graphics and computer-aided design, and the application of graphics to the teaching of mathematical ideas.
