Abstract
In the southern Gyeongsang basin, southeastern Korea, there are many granitic rock masses, and they have been divided into 7 groups according to their geological evidence.K-Ar age was determined on the 36 samples which were obtained from each of the groups. They are arranged as follows:1) group A: Pre-Gyeongsang granitic rock (Pre-Cretaceous)A1 220 m. y.A2 166 m. y.2) group B 115-72 m. y.3) group C 97-70 m. y.4) group D 89-68 m. y.5) group E 82-68 m. y.Outer zone granitic rock (Cretaceous)6) group F 75-74 m. y.: Inner zone granitic rock (Cretaceous)7) group G 63-41 m. y.: Tertiary granitic rockA large part of the Cretaceous granitic masses show the double elongated ring-form, while the most of the Tertiary granitic rocks were probably emplaced in close relation with the Eonyang fault line and Ulsan fault line/or their extension line of the area.
